Discovering Your Why

Life’s key moments are your first breath and the day you figure out why. Living your purpose may seem like a distant dream or something difficult to find, but what if it is closer than you think? When we zero in on your why your path becomes clear.

How to Find Your Purpose

Purpose might feel like a big, vague concept, but you can start to crack it right now. Look at what you’re good at, what’s tough, what you love, and what you’d rather avoid. Organize your activities into these categories. Say you’re a wizard with Excel but it doesn’t excite you—that goes under ‘good at but don’t enjoy.’ The aim is to identify what’s both easy for you and enjoyable. That’s where your natural talents lie, and more often than not, so does your purpose.

Cut Out the Square Peg, Round Hole Scenario

School and work often push us to be good at things we don’t care for. Sure, the A+ is nice to have but let’s get real. It creates a workforce skilled in tasks they dread, far removed from their true purpose. If you’re dreading your day-to-day you are likely not living your purpose.

What’s Your Legacy?

A straightforward way to find your purpose is to think about what you want your legacy to be. This can change over time as you do. My vision has evolved to inspire more people to Turn their Talent Into a Business as my understanding of what’s important has deepened. Sure, the high ticket sale is great, but what about making an opportunity available to many? Think about what you want your legacy to be, talk about it, see how it fits into your life. It’s a matter of trial and error until it feels like a perfect match.
