My most favorite thing about you is your creativity. Because creativity makes everything better.

The world needs a lot of creative solutions now. People are crazy angry, sore winners, disappointed losers, our President-to-be is hostile, and there are angry old white guys everywhere you look. Fear mongers are doing their job well, idiots are following ideologies we long thought to be eradicated… With all that against us, let’s be the creative solution that the world needs.

You Are Part Of This Solution

During a visit at my neighbor’s house I saw two passionate mixed media paintings. And when I say passion it was oozing out of the work. I asked who the artist is and, to my surprise, it is my neighbor herself.

I received a response to my last blog post from Marlana. She told me how she empowers women through photography so they can SEE who they truly are inside. Powerful, strong, beautiful.

Daisy has been fighting acne her entire life and has created a product called Banish Acne Scars as an all-natural solution that helps thousands of women get their confidence back.

The insanely talented Lauren Messiah is building her fashion empire and dresses women and men for success. She helps her clients let the outer show the beauty of the inner.

Jessie, a razor-sharp woman who’s struggled with her weight, decided she has postponed actually living for far too long. Jessie is designing the Curvy Confidence Club to remind us that regardless of size, life is always worth living – TODAY.

Christine runs Digital Outdoor Advertising because she wants to give small businesses who own advertising space and Billboards opportunities to play with the big boys. She opened an agency that represents hundreds of little enterprises and gives them louder voices.

My list goes on and on and on. To me, this is all evidence that creativity saves the world in small and big ways each day. Some of these businesses are just starting, while others have already become multi-million dollar operations.

Do What You Do Best

As we enter the quiet season with long evenings and plenty of time to think about how we are going to approach 2017, I want to encourage you to get back to your roots.

Creativity.

The juice that flows in your veins is the fuel for your success. Put aside the dreaded business demands for a moment (yeah I know, shocking that I tell you that…) and ponder for a few days about these questions:

Who are you serving?

Why are you serving them?

What end result does your creativity provide for them?

When you approach these questions from a creative side you may incidentally discover what makes you unique. And that is what will make people want to do business with you, follow you, or buy from you. Hooray!

My own creativity is expressed through business. I can find the right way to position your idea by uncovering what is so special about you. No need to separate YOU from your business—you go hand-in-hand. You run a creative business, so start acting like a creative business owner. Go ahead at take the Big Leap. It’s easier than you think. And if you need help you know where to find me.

Enjoy the quiet time for now but be prepared for action in the New Year. We are working around the clock here as big changes are coming in 2017.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to all.
