Samy’s Camera, together with Bogen Imaging and Canon Cameras USA, is sponsoring a Desert Photo Safari this Spring- April 17 – 19, to the fabulous Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Just a three hour drive from Los Angeles. Anza Borrego is the northern most extension of the Sonora Desert, just due west of the Salton Sea it encompasses desert and mountain habitats that give the photographer a special variety of flora and fauna not found anywhere else in North America. From desert iguana to grand Mountain Sheep (the Borregos), from blooming Ocotillo to Dragon Trees, from minerals to Mammoth Fossils- Anza Borrego has a limitless number of photo naturalist opportunities- practically in our backyard from here in Los Angeles. This together with its location in a rift valley, provides a stunning landscape of unusual geologic formations that have served as backgrounds for motion pictures and commercials all over the world. Various levels of accommodations are available from a fully equipped State Campground to a 5 Star Resort lets the photographer choose his level of “off the trail” relaxation and restoration.
WHY you want to be there: Spring is the most beautiful time in the desert and this might be a once in year opportunity. If you are into landscapes, outdoors, flowers and photography this might just be the right workshop for you.
