From the desk of Beate Chelette:

The May Madness Membership Drive is in full swing and I am thrilled to welcome my new subscribers.

Before I leave today to go to Vegas, baby, Vegas to meet with my coach and huddle up behind closed doors for two days with my Mastermind group, I want to tell you a little bit more about why you want to join the Charter Membership and get some one-on-one time with me.

It is hard to do everything by yourself. Photography can be quite solitary and who do you ask who can tell you the real stuff? And, as a business owner you probably are not equally good on all ends of your business. Some things don’t get done and some things you dread and other tasks you don’t know how to do. But that is normal, we all need a little help sometimes.

If you want your business to change-  you need to change something. If you do the same routine day in and day out – you will get the same results. So how do you know what to change to get a better result? Begin by setting a budget and time aside for continuous education. You could go to the local community college or the Learning Annex. Take classes in selling and marketing or fly to expensive conferences or workshops.

Whatever you do, do something. But I thought I make it easy and bring the how-to information to you, straight into your home or office. Maybe you are like me and learn best when listening to those who have done it.

Why would you listen to me? For one, I have been successful and I know what it takes to make it. There are many photographers (my guys as I affectionately call them) who were able to generate a lot of additional income. To cite one example, let me mention Tim Street-Porter and his wife Annie,  staples on the architectural photography scene, who have told me that their lives have changed because I helped them to generate an extra five digit amount each month. Why not getting access to the real information? I am not talking about the fluffy stuff you hear sometimes, but the real stories and tips from photography professionals.

The subscription will give you ideas that you can implement immediately. I am all about getting you to take action with tangible advice. You hear practical tips from sources who sit at the top of their game in our industry. People you can’t easily access. In addition to learning from the best all my guests have incredible offers for my listeners. Leah Shoval, Photo Art Director at Ogilvy promised to look at the work of each subscriber. Chris Bain, Photography Director from Barnes & Noble let them have a list of open submissions and photographer Andrew Eccles even promised to check out an aspiring photographer who wanted to relocate from Norway.

For those of you who have not heard the offer, the Charter Membership is available for the first month for the try-out fee of only $1. Membership officially begins in June. After that you get access to the top people in the industry month for only $77. This offer ends May 31th on midnight and the rate goes to $97. I believe in what I do and already in the short time I have launched Photography Business Secrets I get testimonials from photographers who have used the information – and it works. See testimonial below.

To make it really easy for you to try out the membership I added a fantastic bonus. Be one of the first 15 subscribers and you qualify for a one-hour coaching session with me. My usual one hour rate is $500. I am doing it because I want to give you an incentive to sign-up and try it out. I believe this information is valuable for you. We still have a couple of spots open but don’t wait too long they are filling up. What do you have to loose? A cup of coffee cost you more!

Just over the weekend I go a wonderful testimonial from Gail, a photographer who had signed up for the Free Report and Free Audio on Take a look what Gail took away from only listening to a half hour of one of my audios! Imagine getting this type of value each month! This is the stuff I love – knowing that you take those secrets and my tips and you use them to your benefit. If you want to hear what she listened to sign up for your FREE REPORT and FREE AUDIO here.

Dear Beate, I have a story for you which you may or may not want to use as a testimonial. Yesterday I listen to your MP3 audio on Secrets of the Photography Business. Afterward, I started thinking about what you said regarding “Guard Your Time” say “NO” if it doesn’t benefit you. Pick your charity! Well, last night I had already committed to shooting a charity for “Free”. I was asked by a local photographer (it is his client not mine) to shoot for free.

We would both be working for free and they would use the images on the website only, he did the portrait set ups and I was the roaming photographer.

When I arrived I was told by his client all the different uses they were planning to use the shots for. This now was going beyond the use for their website. I was being used. Probably the client doesn’t know but the local photographer surely knew – he has had a studio for 30 years.

So after having heard your audio I said what would Beate say to this? “Run this as a business” I would normally go home feeling abused and used this has happened to me about three times. But after hearing you yesterday say “Benefit You”. I turned it around. I downloaded the files to my Iweb account and sent the local photographer a link to the page with all the images for his client.(I was told to give him the shots on a CD, of course now I see how he was going to be making the money off of my free shooting.) Your words were in the back of my mind. You guided me to this decision. Now.. of course I will have to deal with him and he’ll probably never use me again but I feel stronger now that I listened to your audio. There must be many photographers out there using people like me. I just never had the business sense to turn situations around to my benefit. I am a freelancer this was “work for hire” but free. This is something that is never discussed in books.

I got to get to the airport, I hope to hear from you soon. If you are ready to invest $1 in your future click here.
