What are my professional thoughts about this? As a former photo editor anything that gets these magazines moving of the shelves through an innovative idea is great.

Other than that, aside from a clever triple cover, aside from Martin Schoeller being a fabulous photographer (and fellow German) and his agency August being run by my former colleague at Corbis Bill Hannigan and the Obama picture being from Corbis – if I only could figure out what these three men have in common?

Perhaps I should go and buy the issue to figure it out. But as I said gimmick value “high” – enough for me to write about it.
