Enough of this nonsense!

You won’t find me getting too deep into politics. Most people are stubborn about the topic and believe their opinion is the only valid viewpoint. Your family’s political background, your own experiences with being employed or being an employer, your health history and your interactions with your doctor—all these things and more form the basis of your political stance. Personal experiences determine the issues we are passionate about and sway us towards our voting choice. My opinions won’t change yours.

Yet worse than the headstrong voters are the victim mentality voters. They are always blaming someone or something for their demise. I believe this is the type of voter who is drawn to Donald Trump. They have finally found someone who says what some white Americans are thinking and who has no problem blaming someone else! Trump has pointed the finger at Latinos for being the cause of some of America’s social issues, and he seems to be rallying men who believe they are superior to women.

For any woman who was amongst the 24 million viewers of the GOP debate, you may have walked away feeling like I did—disgusted. I am a grown woman. I don’t need a man to interpret how I feel. And I most certainly do not need one to make decisions pertaining my sexual preferences, birth control, or health. We can handle our own decisions. Period.

I’ll say it again. Enough of this nonsense.

What we should talk about instead is who the real winner of the debate was. Blonde “bimbo” Megyn Kelly was beyond impressive. She looked cool and collected when she directed her cage-rattling comment to Donald Trump: “You’ve called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs,’ ‘dogs’, ‘slobs’, and ‘disgusting animals.’” She may as well have been talking about the weather the way those words came from her. Kelly’s composed delivery of this and other questions had Trump on the defense and the media is still talking about what her intentions were.

This powerful blonde bimbo is the quintessential embodiment of the new smart woman. You see, what you may not have realized is that we women have our own strategies, just like men do. Some of us play to our collaborative side. Some of us happen to be confused when we want to get the other side to reveal their true intentions by giving them an opportunity to talk down to us. Truth be told, there are a number of other strategies that I can’t reveal without breaking The Women’s Code. We understand that being a woman in power, in politics, or in business means we need to bring our own toolboxes. And make no mistake—we do.

While the shockwaves are still quivering Trump’s Twitter feed, and the media is trying to explain who said what and why, Megyn Kelly once again pulls a classy blonde bimbo response. She claims that, of course her question wasn’t intended to embarrass Trump! What she did do was simply pull the drill out of her toolbox to drive the screw in tight. And then she watched to see if it could hold the weight.

Never assume that the woman you are negotiating with right now is showing you all the cards. Helpless we are not. What we are doing is defining women leadership. Simple enough.

I won’t ask what your favorite blonde bimbo strategy is because that would be against The Women’s Code. But for any woman who is using hers, I salute you.
