There are simply not enough hours in my day to point out all the nonsense that goes on about women. Most notably from the mouth of our enfant terrible, the man I love to hate. Donald Trump is fodder for endless material to write about. That’s what he wants, it’s his strategy. Like a two-year-old he’ll throw a temper tantrum anywhere about anything just for the attention.

If he represented only one man we could brush it off and say, “Oh well, there’s the dying breed of Baby Boomers—the middle-aged angry white man who built the world in which we live.” Unfortunately, he’s not the only one. Men like him are responsible for global warming, wars, and every manmade crisis that has ever happened. If you’re listening, you’ll hear Millennials express their frustrations with the mess we created. They are rightfully very angry.

The clash between our established ways and the shift to a more socialistic (no less scary) ideology leaves most of us worried. Very worried. We are concerned about what this world will look like for the next generations, including my 24-year-old daughter. The long-term effects of a changing planet, a major lack of opportunities, and the complete absence of the Promised Land that we promised to them ourselves make it seem as though there is little hope for the future.

Geez, we sound like our parents! But before we engage in another discussion about how bad it is, let’s take a pause.

There is a lot of good stuff happening, too. Millennials are rising. They are not allowing Trump and his cohorts to continue to engage in self-serving narcissistic ways. They are putting a dead stop to established nonsense.

A recent study reveals that Millennials do not trust the government and corporations. If that’s not a wake-up call I don’t know what is. And we shouldn’t be surprised. After all, these are the kids we raised to speak up when they see injustice. They are speaking up, just like we taught them. And we’ve been found out and called to the mat.

How have we allowed all this s%#t happen to our environments and businesses? I’ve discussed this very question with many friends and we have come to one hopeful conclusion—the future belongs to entrepreneurs. We are going to help.
