My career is a valuable part of my life. I can’t imagine ever standing still and not doing something. Some people say I am driven, some say I am ambitious, but I say I simply love what I do. Wherever I go, I see opportunity.
That isn’t to say I haven’t made mistakes. But, I’m a person who doesn’t just complain and wonder, “why me?” (though I used to be) — I’ve learned that I have to take control of my life by figuring out exactly where I am in the rhythm of it, by accepting what I have done, by forgiving myself and by moving on. This is all part of a process I’ve put together called, The Women’s Code, which is designed to help women not only take responsibility, but learn to live without guilt for wanting to have it all.
My work has helped me through some of the most difficult moments of my life. When the going got tough, I knew that I could distract myself by focusing on a project. My mind gets crystal clear when I wrap my head around a major problem. Business is my friend, and I understand it (though it took me a while to understand how it works, and to learn to navigate the interpersonal relationships that plague many women in business). I also understand how to behave as a business woman who travels: I follow the Cinderella Rule which, believe me, is as much of a lifesaver as anything out there.
I love what I do. I am drawn to my career. And, I am driven to explore and excel. I put in thousands and thousands of hours, but I still love it. What can be more gratifying? Well — that would be taking what I’ve learned and showing how women everywhere can benefit from it. This is important to me. I felt that all of my own tribulations would come to nothing if I couldn’t figure out how to bring my hard-won wisdom to other women. I have taken what I know, how I’ve accepted, what I’ve done to relax into where I am in my career and simply live. And I’ve codified it for you.
I have learned, too, that your agenda in life isn’t to leave dead bodies in your path, but to move ahead with the full support of everyone who has ever met you. Your goal (among others) is to get people to buy into your ideas, and into who you are. To earn respect by doing the right thing. If you do that – then success will follow. I developed The Women’s Code for you, the ego-Rhythm for you, K.A.R.L. (who’ll be your best friend) for you. I want to keep you up to date on what’s going on, and I’m developing products, services and written materials I want to share with you. Let’s do this together.
