“Working through your program has taken me on quite an interesting journey: when I began, I was in an overwhelmed but optimistic and energized state where I was trying to meet the demands of a long list of “musts” and “should’s” in order to make my dreams come true. After the ego-rhythm session I felt I had found great clarity with career being my ego-rhythm. This was really helpful in gently nudging me to give my son and myself some space in my mothering (it was easier than prior years to not go on every field trip for example). The forgiveness session was an interesting experience for me. I became aware of simmering anger and hurt from past encounters that I hadn’t realized were still so strong for me. It was good to have this awareness, and helped explain a few things. My experience of your video offering a heartfelt apology worked for me. I don’t have easy or comfortable access to someone to do that type of exercise with; plus am on the shy side if required to ask someone to do that work with me. Therefore, having the option of doing the exercises with you in the video was a wonderful option. Going through those exercises (with quite a lengthy list of folks) brought me some peace and inner strength. I think there is a lot more forgiveness-type processing for me to do; however, this session showed me the value of cracking this area open, and left me feeling a bit lighter and happier. When I got to the career session, I thought “this is it – this is where I’m going to focus my energies and really get one of my business ideas moving forward.” What I found instead was how important self-care and time with my son are to me. It’s not that I’ve changed my mind about wanting to get a business of my own off the ground -that’s very much a goal of mine. But they way you phrased questions where we filled in the fields online –it was open enough that I brought in all aspects of my life –not just my career aspirations. As one who typically compartmentalizes my life, this session was a lovely and gentle break-through for me to honor all areas of my life: my son, my values, my passions, my interests, and my strengths while I consider how to proceed with my profession and business ideas. By the time the program was coming to a close, I saw clearly that my ego-rhthym is actually self-care. In the work I’m doing to reinvent myself after several years of personal struggle, I can now –thanks to working with your program– honor and fully support my desire and efforts to nurture myself to a rightful place of health and joy.
